We stayed in room 12. Location cannot be faulted but be warned very loud music till around 10-11pm from neighboring bars. Service is impeccable attentive talkative staff happy to point you in the right direction. The main drawback for us in this room was lack of hot water on top of that when it came on it went cold soon after. Second was the musty damp type smell in the room which needs some sun and proper airing out.

The rooms were comfy, the staff helpful, the location central, and the courtyard garden was a highlight (it’s so nice that we bought takeout and wine to enjoy in the courtyard). The only item that took some managing was we had to tinker with the hot water during the shower to get it right, but this seems like part of being in Guatemala.

The hotel lacks a bar and restaurant, so no breakfast can be had in the hotel. They do provide a kind of minibar in the rooms though. The hotel has several green, beautiful and cozy patios, and even a small rooftop terrace The place is clean, and the beds are very comfortable (I like hard mattresses). I wish they would not hand out one-time mini soaps and shampoo packs, but instead gave refillable bottles, to become less plastic consuming. The prices are also very good value for the money.

Great hotel! Location was great and the room has fan which was nice. Clean room. We booked the shuttle to return to Guatemala City and the staff didn’t tell us that the shuttle wasn’t picking us up at the hotel until it was time to leave. We had to lugged our suitcases 20min to get to the meeting point. The staff refused to pay for our taxi even though she made the mistake. Please train your staff to coordinate these services.

If you are looking for a traditional hotel in Antigua that is centrally located, this may be your place. What you need to know is that it shares similar characteristics to many of the hotels in the area. This type of hotel was once a traditional home with rooms centered around courtyards (I can't provide a reference here, this is just anecdotal information from 17 years of traveling to Antigua and staying in many different hotels. Although, ChatGPT did a great job describing what I believe is a traditional or antique home in Antigua). I stayed in room #4, not because I needed four beds, but it was the only room available. This is a great room in every sense of the word. It was most likely the living room as it is in the center of the hotel off the main courtyard/garden. That said, while it provides for an abundance of fresh air, which is often lacking in some of these types of hotel rooms, it is not insulated from the daily activities of the hotel, including guests coming and going, guests eating outside the room, or the chorus of birds that welcome the day for you precisely at the same time every day - no need for an alarm clock! This room has a high ceiling of traditional timber frames and dark wood, with a huge, ornate chandelier hanging in the center. It's beautiful! While the bathroom is simple, it's more than sufficient - the ample shower has hot water delivered to you using updated plumbing (no need to worry about getting electrocuted by a "widow maker" showerhead with exposed wires). I'm a pretty low-maintenance kind of guy when it comes to where we stay (although, my partner may disagree with me). If you are an independent, self-reliant traveler, that will spend most of your time outside of the hotel than inside, this hotel will meet your needs.

Oh, this place is REALLY special. I paid $55 for a double room that was super cute, clean and extremely quiet. The courtyard has the most special plants and flowers. There are also so many great little fountains and special details all around the interior common areas. I do see how some of the other reviews say the front desk staff aren't super friendly, but I think it's because they are busy. This place is centrally located, clean and extremely affordable. I would definitely stay here again. Also recommend having them book your taxi to the airport. I paid $16 and shared a car with two other people and it was more than half what other friends at fancier hotels paid for a taxi. GREAT place to stay.

A hidden treasure. welcoming staff, spotless room with attention to detail. loved the face towel folded as a swan. great location and appreciated the 24 hour water and coffee on tap. lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. check out the roof top deck up the spiral stair case. stunning.

This is a good place to stay if you're looking for clean rooms in a great location. The included breakfast was really nice and the coffee was delicious. The first room we were given had a toilet that was dodgy from the get-go, and by the second night wouldn't work at all. Thankfully, the staff were great and switched us to a different room so we could relax knowing that the bathroom situation was trustworthy! We stayed here again one night at the end of our trip and that room didn't have any exterior windows aside from a small one in the shower — this definitely is a little strange and we had to sleep with the door ajar (but chained) to get some decent airflow. If you're not into that sort of thing I'd suggest requesting a "room with a window" if possible!
